We are happy to welcome new members especially experienced Altos and Bass singers You do not have to read music but you must be able to sing in tune.

We rehearse every Tuesday and perform up to 8 concerts a year.  In common with the majority of similar choirs, members are allowed to take music on stage. though we do make efforts to sing some pieces from memory
We supply all members with legitimate music manuscripts (not photocopies) together with rehearsal and concert folders. Concert uniforms are provided though a contribution towards the cost may be requested. We do change our uniforms regularly which is why you will see different examples on our website images.

The Choir is managed by a Committee consisting of Chairman,  Secretary, Treasurer together with five members of choir who undertake specific duties. Our Musical Director and Accompanist complete the line-up in an advisory capacity as they are not entitled to vote on any  issues. All Post holders are elected at the Annual General Meeting.

We have an Annual Subscription to cover our fixed costs such as Musicians’ Expenses, Music, Room Hire and Choir Insurance. It does vary but it is always very affordable.

If you would like to hear us sing, come along to one of our rehearsals please give our Secretary, Helen a call beforehand so that we can make sure we have music to hand to you when you arrive.
